Alvear Tungsten Limited

Alvear Tungsten is an ASX listed, Argentina focused tungsten developer and explorer, aiming to rapidly restart a historic, high grade wolframite mine at its Nueva Santa Clara project. Located in Argentina's Catamarca province, Alvear holds a significant package of tenements surrounding the mine, including other historic tungsten mines and highly prospective ground. Alvear uses modern exploration and rapid development techniques in this historic mining precinct, targeting a hub and spoke model centred on Nueva Santa Clara, that delivers tungsten concentrate into the US and European critical minerals frameworks.

Spencer Cole, Managing Director & CEO

Spencer Cole is a mining executive and engineer with more than 25 years’ experience across the global resources sector, spanning project development, operational leadership, finance and corporate transactions. Most recently, he served as Chief Development Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Xanadu Mines Ltd (ASX: XAM), playing a key role in advancing the Kharmagtai copper-gold project in Mongolia prior to its acquisition by Boroo Mining in 2025.

Prior to Xanadu, Mr Cole spent 12 years with Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX: NCM) in senior executive and operational roles supporting project development, technical studies, strategic planning and operational performance. Mr Cole brings significant expertise in project evaluation, mine development strategy and the advancement of mining operations through staged growth and development pathways.
