Axo Metals Corp. (TSXV: AXO) is a Canadian exploration and development company advancing high-potential copper and gold assets in Mexico. Its flagship La Huerta Copper Project in Jalisco hosts a +5 km high-grade mineralized trend with standout drill results. The recently acquired San Antonio Gold Project in Sonora is a brownfield past-producer with ~1.1 Moz Au resource, existing 4,000 tpd heap-leach infrastructure, and newly secured environmental approval, offering a low-capex path to near-term production. Headquartered in Halifax, Axo is focused on discovery, de-risking, and delivering shareholder value in one of the world’s premier mining jurisdictions.
Management Profile:
Jonathan Egilo, President & CEO, is a mining engineer and capital markets professional with experience as an equity research analyst at Desjardins Capital Markets covering precious and base metals, plus roles at National Bank Financial and Detour Gold (now Agnico Eagle). He is supported by Executive Chair Glenn Jessome (securities lawyer and founder of multiple TSXV-listed resource companies), CFO Keith Abriel (seasoned finance executive who has raised over $1 billion), and a board with deep Mexico mining, legal, and governance expertise.
What are your key goals for the next 3 months?:
Continue aggressive drilling at San Antonio (≈3,000 m/month, focused on expansion and El Tigre) with a dedicated step-out update in September. Advance the routine Change of Use of Soils (CUS) process and evaluate early stockpile reprocessing. Progress PEA work incorporating new drill data while delivering ongoing assay results to further de-risk the project.
What are your key goals for the next 6 months?:
Secure CUS approval and release an updated mineral resource estimate together with the PEA. Advance engineering and permitting toward a production decision, potentially initiate limited stockpile processing, and expand the resource base through continued drilling. Maintain momentum on both San Antonio development and La Huerta exploration.
What are your key goals for the next 12 months?:
Target first gold production at San Antonio via the existing low-capex heap-leach infrastructure. Grow the resource toward 1.5–2 Moz, complete further technical studies if warranted, and demonstrate consistent operational progress. Simultaneously advance high-grade copper discovery at La Huerta while delivering shareholder value through production, resource growth, and continued exploration success.
What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?:
Axo offers a rare dual-commodity opportunity: a de-risked, low-capex path to near-term gold production at the past-producing San Antonio project (existing 4,000 tpd infrastructure, ~1.1 Moz resource, recent major environmental permit) combined with high-grade copper discovery potential at La Huerta. Fully funded with a strong treasury, experienced management, and clear catalysts (ongoing expansion drilling, PEA, and production restart), the company is positioned to deliver both near-term cash flow and significant exploration upside in Mexico’s premier mining jurisdictions.
