Cornish Lithium is a pioneering mineral development company focused on securing a sustainable domestic supply of lithium for the UK. Founded in 2016, the company is developing two complementary projects that extract lithium from hard rock and geothermal waters using innovative technologies. Our ambition is to produce 20,000 tonnes of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) annually for the batteries that power consumer electronics, electric vehicles and grid-scale energy storage. By responsibly developing one of Europe's largest known lithium resources, we are helping strengthen the UK's energy security, support economic growth, create high-quality employment and build a resilient domestic battery supply chain.

Jamie Airnes - CEO Jamie has over 25 years’ experience delivering projects and growing businesses in the extractives industry, with senior expertise across major corporations including BP, Woodside and Apache as well as SMEs. He has repeatedly unlocked organisational potential and commercialised businesses at pace, helping grow North Sea producer Ithaca Energy from a micro-cap into one of the UK’s largest independent energy companies and significantly increasing revenues at Chris Dykes International and Hydrovolve.

Varshan Gokool - CFO Varshan has more than 20 years of experience developing TSX and AIM-listed mining companies from project definition through construction across multiple jurisdictions. Following his graduation from the University of Cape Town, he worked in both investment banking and mining leadership roles, arranging and leading over US$1.5 billion in financing transactions across equity, debt and project finance structures. Most recently, as President and CEO of Euromax Resources, he led the Ilovica-Shtuka Copper-Gold Project in North Macedonia from inferred resource to definitive feasibility study. Previously, he led the financing strategy for European Goldfields and its mining operations in Greece and Romania.

Neil Elliot - VP Corporate Development Neil manages strategic partnerships, business development and financing initiatives to support the company's mission of building a sustainable domestic supply of lithium for the energy transition. Through his career in the City, Neil has extensive experience of financing in the mining and natural resources sectors, and works closely with investors, commercial partners and industry stakeholders to advance project development and growth opportunities. He plays a key role in securing strategic investment, developing offtake relationships, and positioning Cornish Lithium as a leading producer of responsibly sourced lithium in the United Kingdom.
