Freegold is actively exploring the Golden Summit Project near Fairbanks, Alaska, a road-accessible development project hosting a significant gold resource: 17.2 Moz Indicated at 1.24 g/t Au and 11.9 Moz Inferred at 1.04 g/t Au (using a 0.5 g/t cut-off and $2,490 gold price as of July 2025). The 2026 drill program, comprising 50,000 meters, is strategically designed to identify and delineate higher-grade corridors within larger mineralized zones, with the objective of enhancing overall resource grade and improving project economics. The program will include infill, expansion and geotechnical drilling as well as additional metallurgical test holes and related supporting studies. Drilling targets include the WOW, Dolphin, Cleary Hill, and the recently identified Tamarack zones. Golden Summit is located within an approximately 10 km by 1.5 km ENE-trending structural corridor known for its history of gold occurrences and placer production. The project is being assessed for district-scale potential, with further drilling planned throughout the year to refine and expand the resource base in anticipation of an upcoming Prefeasibility Study (PFS) planned for 2027. Drilling concluded in mid-December 2025, and a total of 63 holes were drilled. Several assay results from the 2025 drilling remain pending. The 2026 program is currently in progress. Pilot-scale metallurgical testing produced a flotation concentrate from a 1,500 kg composite (derived from 12 drill holes), representing less than 4% of the original mass. Additional test work is ongoing to determine the optimal oxidation and treatment process for the PFS. Previous studies suggest that recoveries exceeding 90% are achievable using BIOX®, POX, or Albion processes; the GlassLock™ technology is also being evaluated to enhance concentrate quality and reduce arsenic levels.
