Primary Minerals: Mineral sands, Titanium
Country / Region: Australia
Market Cap 74M
Website: Petratherm

Petratherm is focused on exploration activities for critical minerals and copper at its Muckanippie project located in the Gawler Craton of South Australia.

In 2024, Petratherm made a significant discovery at Rosewood, a titanium rich strandline style mineral sand deposit.

Petratherm has identified titanium rich, heavy mineral (HM) mineralisation over an area exceeding 40 square kilometres including a high-grade (at least 10m >5% HM) zone of 22 square kilometres which remains open and prospective for increased mineralisation.

Mineralogical test work has shown Rosewood assemblage comprises very high valuable HM content of over 95%, dominated by high grade titanium minerals in excess of 70% TiO2 content with no deleterious minerals.

In addition, the course grained nature of the deposit suggests it is likely to be highly amenable to producing very high mineral recoveries using conventional gravity spiral processing techniques.

Management Profile

Rob Sennitt, Executive Director

Rob has over 35 years experience in the natural resources sector. During this time he has operated as a senior investment banker, private equity investor and in various managing director roles. He was previously Managing Director of Mineral Deposits Limited which owned 50% of the TiZir Joint Venture which comprised the GCO Mineral Sands Mine and the TTI Titanium Slag Smelter.

Peter Reid, CEO

Peter has over 30 years experience in mineral exploration. He has held senior roles with several ASX listed exploration companies. Peter's strong exploration and generative credentials include the discovery of the Muckanippie deposit as well as the world-class Prominent Hill copper-gold deposit.

What is your rationale for taking part in 121 Mining Investment?

Seeking to introduce the project to prospective investors

What recent news would you like to highlight to investors attending?

1 October - Drill Program Extends Rosewood and Identifies New HMS Zone

What are your key goals for the next 3, 6 and 12 months?

3 Months

Results of initial bulk sample test which will inform likely processing to recover titanium minerals together with potential product mix

Additional drilling to progress a maiden JORC Resource

What do you see as the key risks and challenges facing your company at the moment and how are you overcoming these?

While Petratherm has identified a large, high-grade, titanium rich deposit with excellent characteristics (including no deleterious minerals, course grain size etc) the current workstreams will:

  • (i) Confirm the likely processing, recoveries and product generation which will drive the future development of the project and its potential economics
  • (ii) Continue to expand the size of the Rosewood deposit as well as to further investigate the significant prospectivity associated with the larger Muckanippie Project

What do you think makes your company such a compelling investment?

Significant high-grade discovery with important characteristics that suggest strong recoveries from conventional processing

What are the top 3 key investor takeaways?

  1. High-Grade, near surface, district scale titanium discovery close to existing transport infrastructure
  1. Assemblage dominated by high value titanium ores with no deleterious minerals
  1. Course grained ore likely to be highly amenable to producing very high mineral recoveries using conventional gravity spiral processing techniques.
